ECU POWER STEERING MODULE

The rapid development of the automotive engineering industry contributes to more and more comfortable driving and travelling from one place to another.
In this case this concerns both the practical equipment that is found inside each modern car and a lot of technological changes. Each of the changes that are introduced is intended to make it to the largest possible extent easier for us to drive the car and move around in it.

Electronic controller of electric power steering (EPS controller)

The continuous changes concern to an equally large extent the engine as well as the various systems that are found in every car. These include the suspension system, the braking system, the steering system or the very important electronic power steering system. Each of the above systems has an important function to fulfil, which has an impact on the safety, comfort and speed of moving of the car. One of the rather rapidly evolving systems is the electronic power steering system, thanks to which we gain the ease of steering our car. Its basic purpose is to increase the ease of manoeuvring with the steering wheel while driving and at the same time reduce the force that is necessary for this action. The popular system of power steering is especially useful at low car speeds when the change of driving direction depends on the force applied to the steering wheel. Vehicles that are used in modern times can incorporate three typical power steering systems. These include a pneumatic system that is mainly applied in delivery vehicles. As far the systems for passenger cars are concerned, we may find a hydraulic system and an electronic system called EPS. The EPS can fall into several different types. Their main element is a power steering controller that adjusts the power of steering to several different parameters. These will include the kind of surface and the related friction force, the velocity of the car and the force used to turn the steering wheel. The task of a fully functional steering module is to have control over the correct functioning of all of the subassemblies that are applied in the power steering system.
