The engine controller, also known as ECU (Engine Control Unit), is one of the key components in modern cars. Intermittent operation of various systems – sometimes the ECU may operate unstably, resulting in intermittent operation of various engine functions. This means that the car may run normally for a period of time and then suddenly start causing problems.

Inability to diagnose – sometimes a faulty ECU will not communicate with diagnostic equipment, making it impossible to check for errors. This lack of response can also indicate a serious failure of the controller.
